EVEN MORE IMPORTANT SITE NEWS (This time it's good!)

First Final Farewell?

As you're all no doubt aware, on Tuesday last week I decided that the time had come to close the torrent part of my website for various personal reasons.  I felt that things were coming to a natural close and other external pressures made me think that it was time to call it a day.

What I wasn't expecting was the sheer number of comments on Facebook, by email and on the website itself by people expressing their sadness that it was ending.  Some offered to take it on themselves and nearly every message I read was positive.  I really didn't realise how much it meant to so many people.

On Tuesday, I said that we'd had over a million completed downloads in 10 years.  Since then I have seen that go up by over 1000 downloads a day and have had numerous calls for an extenison to the closure date so that people had time to grab some recordings.

I have been genuinly moved by the messages I've received from fans and well wishers and some of the circumstances that were leading me to close the site have changed, at least for now.

So without beating around the bush any longer, I'm pleased to say that the site will be staying where it is and won't be closing any time soon.  

I will still be closing the DC++ Hub and the forum will be archived.  They really are under utilised and I believe they have passed seen better times.

I know this may seem like a surprise turn of events and it certainly wasn't meant to be a "hey look at me!" attention seeking exercise.

Hopefully everyone can now continue to enjoy the site and recordings that deserve to be shared, for free
